Douglas joined Northern Trust in 2008 and has over 19 years of business development experience, the last seven of which have been spent in the banking and asset servicing industry. Douglas is currently responsible for leading Northern Trust’s EMEA business development group in London. He manages sales teams in Stockholm, Amsterdam, London, Dublin, Luxembourg, Channel Islands and the Middle East, responsible for offering the breath of Northern Trust’s asset servicing and capital markets solutions to both asset owner and asset manager communities. 

Prior to assuming this responsibility in September 2015, Douglas spent four years leading Northern Trust’s Institutional Investor Group (IIG) Business Development team for UK, Ireland and latterly Africa, with responsibility for offering Northern Trust’s services to pension fund, insurance, sovereign wealth fund, central banking and charity sectors. 

Douglas has been instrumental in maintaining and developing Northern Trust's focus on the pension fund industry and works with Northern Trust’s Retirement Solution Practice, an advisory group dedicated to helping institutions navigate the complexities of the global retirement market.

Prior to joining Northern Trust, Douglas worked in the IT industry for 12 years, specialising in business development for Morse Group Plc and Computacenter Plc.

He earned a B.Sc. degree, with honours, in Computer Sciences and Politics from University of West England, Bristol, having previously attended Winchester College.

Robert joined Northern Trust in September 2013 as head of Regulatory Services, Product Solutions Group, EMEA. The Regulatory Services team acts as a consolidated point of contact on our portfolio of regulatory projects, with responsibility for regulatory client communication, and the services and products that Northern Trust can offer our clients in the regulatory space.
 
Prior to joining Northern Trust, Robert spent over 16 years at Merrill Lynch (now Bank of America Merrill Lynch) in Prime Brokerage and during this time ran the hedge fund client service, client consulting, product development and client on-boarding teams.
