Michael Tan
Michael Tan is a Senior Vice President at Northern Trust - Singapore. As APAC Head of Foreign Exchange, he oversees the foreign exchange sales and trading activities of The Northern Trust Company in the Asia-Pacific region which also include a FX Sales presence in Sydney and dealing rooms in Singapore, Beijing and Seoul. Michael ensures compliance in such FX activities within guidelines and policies as provided for by Singapore, Asian and U.S. regulators.
The APAC dealing rooms provide foreign exchange services for investment managers and custody clients and are active in foreign exchange trading. The Northern Trust Singapore FX team was recognized as the "Best FX Provider (Real Money) – APAC" from 2005-2013 by Asia-Pacific investment managers and custody clients, as independently polled in Global Investor Magazine’s annual FX surveys.
Prior to joining Northern Trust in 1996, Michael was Assistant Treasurer at Commerzbank (1982-1990) and Treasurer at Banca Commerciale Italiana (1990-1996) in Singapore. He began his banking career in 1979 with Citibank's Singapore Treasury.

Chris Thomson
Christopher Thomson is a Senior Sales Representative for Northern Trust’s Asset Servicing business based in the Melbourne Branch and is focused on sales and marketing of global custody and asset services.
He has over 25 years experience in the financial services industry working with Institutional clients in the Superannuation sector and with Investment management firms. His previous roles have included relationship sales, product development and investment operations.
Most recently he was a sales and relationship manager with JP Morgan Treasury Services in Australia and prior to that worked for firms including Goldman Sachs JBWere, JP Morgan Investment Management and State Street Australia.
